Terms
The terms you agree to when you buy a licence or use this site.

Who you are dealing with
Ecko is published by Machine Republic (Pty) Ltd. These terms cover buying a licence and using this website. Use of the software itself is governed by the EULA, and business use by the commercial licence. Where this page and one of those disagree about the software, that one wins.
Buying a licence
Licences are sold per developer and run for a year. Payment is taken by Paddle, the merchant of record, which is the seller named on your invoice and handles local taxes at checkout. Prices are in US dollars unless stated otherwise.
A licence starts when payment clears. It renews annually until you cancel, and you can cancel at any time from your Paddle receipt or by writing to us.
What you receive, and when
There is nothing to download that you did not already have. The binary is the same file either way; a licence is permission to use it commercially, not a different build.
Payment is fulfilled immediately. Paddle emails your invoice as soon as the charge clears, and the licence takes effect from that moment. There is no key to enter, no account to activate and nothing to wait for, because Ecko carries no licence check: it does not phone home and it will not stop working. What changes is what you are permitted to ship.
Team licences are issued per developer and run for one year from the date payment clears. Enterprise terms are agreed in writing before the first invoice.
If we change the price
We give at least 30 days notice by email before a price change affects an existing licence. If you would rather not renew at the new price, cancel before the renewal date and nothing further is charged.
Refunds
There is a 14 day refund window on a first paid charge, and a prorated refund if we substantially reduce what a paid licence covers. The refund policy sets out the detail.
Fair use of this site
Read it, download the binaries, quote the docs. Please do not scrape it at a rate that degrades it for others, probe it for vulnerabilities without asking first, or pass it off as your own. Security reports are welcome at security@ecko.sh and we will not pursue anyone who reports in good faith.
No warranty, and the limit of our liability
Ecko and this site are provided as is, without warranty of any kind. To the extent the law allows, our total liability is capped at what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or 100 US dollars if you paid nothing, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including your rights as a consumer.
Changes to these terms
We give at least 30 days notice by email before a material change takes effect for existing customers. Minor corrections take effect when published.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Machine Republic (Pty) Ltd is established, without regard to conflict of law rules.
